Council Responsibilities

The Council manages key parish functions on behalf of residents:

  • Highways: We go beyond reporting potholes! We maintain footpaths, perform regular tree surveys, and liaise with district and county councillors regarding infrastructure issues.
  • Planning Applications: We review and provide input to uphold quality and design standards for local properties.
  • Amenities: We have a very passionate team overseeing improvement of parish amenities. The parish grounds are maintained by a highly skilled groundskeeper,
  • Staff Group: Ensuring the welfare of our employees and Councillors.
  • Finance Group: Responsible for financial management and pursuit of relevant funding opportunities. Recent investments include the purchase of generators to support an emergency plan.

Your Time

Council meetings are held monthly at Boldre War Memorial Hall, on the second Monday at 18:30, with additional subgroup and project meetings as needed throughout the month.

Future Objectives

We welcome your assistance.

  • Expand fundraising efforts for community projects
  • Enhance youth services and engagement
  • Develop the pavilion and recreation ground
  • Increase community involvement and communication

We are also actively collaborating with public organisations to secure Affordable Social Housing for younger residents.
