Boldre Parish Council - August

On Monday 14th August, Boldre Parish Council met for its monthly meeting.

August is usually a quieter month for Parish Councils, but we have seen a number of important issues come up.

The new external Defibrillator Box is now registered and accessible 24/7 at the BWMH. Thanks, to the Hall Committee for installation,  and Parishioners for the donations that made this possible.

Full Fibre Broadband has become available in Holly Lane and Bull Hill areas. If any resident wishes to have it installed, they can approach any of the broadband providers - at last! This was a great achievement by local residents who worked patiently to get to this stage. Thanks also to Open Reach who stepped up to do the work.

The recreation ground has been busier this summer than usual. The playpark is proving a great success and an attractive site for picnics; the football pitches have had more use this month with teams from New Milton using the venue - it's great to see them in regular use again.

The August Meeting was attended by a number of residents concerned about developments at the Fleur De Lys Home Park. The Council will endeavour to provide advice and support to the parties involved.

We still have a vacancy on the Council, please contact the Clerk if you might be interested in becoming involved.

The date for the next Parish Council meeting is 12th September at 18:30. This will be an in-person meeting with the option for members of the public to attend via Zoom. Members of the public are welcome to attend in person but will be required to follow COVID restrictions or recommended advice when doing so.
