June opened with a bang at Boldre Parish, with the Community picnic for the Queens Platinum jubilee. We hope that all those who attended had a great day in the sun, enjoyed the music and events, as well as taking the opportunity to tour the new shop building. It was great to see so many Parishioners in attendance and participating in the fun. The Council would like to thank all of those volunteers from around the parish who put so much time and effort into making the Boldre Parish jubilee community picnic such a success. Events like this do not happen without a lot of hard work from many people and I hope you all agree it paid off.

The Council was pleased to agree to the signature of a lease to formalise the use of BWMH grounds for the new play area. BPC also approved for works on the recreation ground to level the goal mouth outside of the sports pavilion. This is being partially funded by Lymington Sprites who are regular users of the facilities.

The council approved the Annual Governance and Audit Report and these were signed by the meeting Chair. As required by the Local Audit & Accountability Act 2014 and the Accounts & Audit Regulations 2015, Boldre Parish Council makes its audit papers available to the public. These can be found on our website or can be requested in hard copy from the Clerk.

The date for the next Parish Council meeting is on July 11th at 18:30. This will be an in-person meeting with the option for members of the public to attend via Zoom. Members of the public are welcome to attend in person but will be required to follow COVID restrictions or recommended advice when doing so.
