The Local Government Boundary Commission is carrying out an electoral review of Hampshire County Council. Due to feedback received, a new consultation period for the New Forest has been opened, ending June 6th 2016. Full details of the revised proposal can be found here: http://www.lgbce.org.uk/current-reviews/south-east/hampshire/hampshire-county-council
The proposal under consultation again places Lymington and Boldre under the same Hampshire County Councillor. Boldre Parish Council will again be strongly objecting to any proposal that reduces the number of county divisions covering the New Forest or results in Boldre Parish being joined with Lymington. This is because we believe that Boldre has a rural outlook and would be best aligned with other similar rural parishes.
We would strongly encourage all parishioners to sign the petition at Pilley Community Stores or provide direct feedback to the Clerk using the "Contact Us" page on this website so that this can be included in our response.
